BEAR DREAMS THE WORLD
This painting came to me in the dreamtime of Winter. Sometimes, when I work with an animal in paint and spirit, they bring me a story. Bears live in both the Northern and Southern hemispheres, so I assume there are always bears in hibernation on Earth. I see bears in the solace of their cave, dreaming the world so that they, and we all, have a place to wake up to. The dream comes out of their breath as steam, and is caught by the mycelium in the den. The dream travels along the Earth’s internet of fungi to stabilize the creation of our planet. They, and we all, have a place to wake up to.
